Rotational Sous Chef - 75m+ Private/Charter MY - global cruising
Male chef due to cabin share
I am looking for a culinary trained chef with land based fine dining restaurtant experience and who has recent crew chef experience on 55m+ yachts and who wants to step up to a larger yacht and bigger crew
The galley operates with 2 sous/crew chefs who report to the head chef. eg 3 chefs always in galley
Role is varied and will need to create mouthwatering crew menus, manage stores, provisions, keep galley spotless and manage your section and also help out with guests/boss food. Baking, dessert and pastry skills and any other global cuisine skills are of benefit!
Role will start anytime from mid November to mid December, not finalised yet so need a chef with flexibility on this start date
Please note the rotation listed in the job advert. This is not time for time rotation. Salary is not negotiable, hence I think it will suit a crew chef from 60m size yachts looking for bigger yacht step up.. When it does charter of course there are excellent tips but yacht is mainly private use and owner guest use.
Yacht cruises globally so if you want a Med only white boat role this is not for you!
Looking for chef with ships cook cert and ideally level 3 food hygiene.
Note: if you are shortlisted for interview you will need to provide a sample crew and guests menu to showcase your menu planning, cooking skills and cuisine knowledge!
